Reader Question: How to Break the Ice with your Neighbors
Sabine has a question, she recently had neighbors move in and noticed they're on a different schedule because she can't seem to find a time to introduce herself. They appear to be a very nice young couple with a small child (around her son's age). She would love to get to know them better and have the children play together in the future.
She'd like to know, is it a good idea to drop a gift basket at their door (aka Welcome basket including coffee, juice boxes and/or household items) with a note welcoming them?!?
How do you break the ice with your neighbors? If you can help Sabine, leave a comment with your suggestion. Thanks!

I can't imagine that anybody would not appreciate that. Spring is supposed to be coming people will be out doing yardwork so the oppertunity people will be outside. I have a dog that I walk 3 times a day so during my walks would say hi when I saw people outside.
ReplyDeleteA basket would be nice, with things that they would use. Coffee, juice boxes for the kids, etc. Or you could get a gift certificate for your favorite local restaurant. I'm sure they could you the break from moving in.
ReplyDeleteThanks deb I didn't think about the gift card!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to make sure I wasn't being a creap by leaving something at their door, lol
