Price Chopper: A Sneak Peek @ the 3/31 Ad - Bonus Fuel Items!
Price Chopper's Fuel Promotion got even better with the addition of NEW BONUS FUEL ITEMS! You can potentially earn over $4 per gallon of gas in BONUS fuel savings in next week's ad!!!
I hate gas deals. I mean, I like saving on my fuel, but I would much rather have OYNO or direct savings at the store. It is a crazy game I don't like playing. Just make the item so many cents cheaper.
I agree Mindy, I hate the gas deals too. I mean, really, is 3 cents/gallon going to make ANY difference at the pump when we're still paying almost $4/gallon?! Oh well...
You complained about them taking away the gas when they made it $100 instead of $50. They come up with a NEW program to get FREE gas if you take advantage of it and you're STILL not happy.
I personally have a love/hate relationship with the gas deals. I LOVE when I get up to $1 off. Takes me awhile but I eventually do! I hate when they jack the prices up i.e, Pepsi 2L 4/$6?!? I think this could be good.
I feel the same way as I did when Walgreen's changed their program --- I'm over it. I already spent too much time preparing for trips to PC and always worried if I'd run into cashiers who understood the coupon policy or a manager who hates couponers (and there are several of those in MA!). I don't have time to jump through more hoops...especially when the shelf prices at PC are typically higher than other stores in my area. I will be SOOOOOOOO happy when the new Market Basket opens in Hudson, MA and gives PC a run for their money. So, for now, my sister has all of the competitor coupons to use at PC if she decides to shop there again.
I agree with Mindy; I'm not a fan of the gas deals. I was a huge PC fan up until last week. I have rearranged my grocery shopping day and will now do the larger chunk at Shop Rite. The only thing slightly negative comments I've stated about the gas deal to friends is if PC can keep my savings comparable to the prior $.10/$50 gas deal then it's no big deal....but with the decrease acceptance of competitor coupons, the savings are less now and so will be the frequency of my shopping there. These gas deal don't make up for it in my book :(
I personally like them. We buy a lot of your stuff that we need when it isn't on sale (like diapers) at PC just to get the gas savings. We (meaning I because my hubby is no longer allowed to shop) do the gas cats for things my kids really love eating (like yoplait yogurt and green giant veggies) several times those weeks. I remember one time last year I had so much for gas savings that I had gotten a whole take for $3.26 I only wish the cents off a gallon never expired, but I'll live.
That’s so cool that you managed to get hold of an ad that isn’t public yet! Personally, I reserve only one hour a week to clip coupons, so I definitely can’t keep up with those of you who make a career out of it. Price Chopper is my store of choice for many reasons, not the least of which is the Fuel program that saves me .20-.30 cents/gallon or $4-$5 per fill-up every week. Being able to add additional savings to that weekly amount so easily by buying things I want that are on sale, is great! Just scanning what’s in this ad that I know I need will save me an additional $1.65/gallon on top of my usual .20-.30 cents, which means I save $32 on a fill-up! That’s a lot of money! Shop Rite and Hannaford don’t have gas discount programs and don’t match competitor coupons like Price Chopper. Heck, Hannaford doesn’t even offer double coupons.
It's going to make it easier to get the gas off, but harder for the poor cashiers to explain it. Why did I get $.15 instead of $.20 blah blah blah.
ReplyDeleteI might take a shop rite break next week and shop price chopper, all depends on after coupon price of course!

ReplyDeleteSo far what sticks out most is:
ReplyDeleteAvocados/oranges $3.50/5 after coupon and gas savings.
Snapple 6 packs 2/$2.99 after gas savings and MIR (Sunday only)
The Dole Squishems might be a good deal if I could just remember the coupon that is out there for them...
