Price Chopper: Updated Coupon Policy
Price Chopper has updated their coupon policy effective 1/23/12. I am not seeing many changes.
Highlights:
We may double up to 4 manufacturer coupons of like items per day.
We accept valid Manufacturer internet coupons (Print at Home) up to face value of $5. This includes free offers and Buy one, Get one free offers
We, Price Chopper, offer Internet coupons through Pricechopper.com, email, and Facebook that may exceed this $5 limit.
We accept our competitors' coupons based on marketing area.
Store Management has the right to accept or deny any competitor coupons.
We accept competitors' paper coupons (Other Grocery stores, Drug stores, Mass merchants: i.e. Grocery Target, Grocery Walmart and Club stores) for exact size and quantity merchandise, limited to cents off, dollars off an order and percentage off an order.
To ensure adequate product levels and fast, efficient checkouts for all Price Chopper customers, we reserve the right to limit quantities in coupon usage, as well as products, and to amend our policies as we deem appropriate.
Thanks Erin @ Jesus and Coupons!

Unbelievable!! Did you notice they pulled the Poland springs off the shelf in all stores a few weeks ago? Talk about biting off their nose to spite their face! Don't they realize that when people brag tag about what great deals they get at a store, it makes the people around them more likely to shop there?? The 50% rule is still in effect though, right?? So basically they are mad that people are saving $$.... Kinda reminds me of Rite Aid... And I rarely shop there anymore for these types of things...
ReplyDelete@ Anonymous, do you think they pulled it off the shelves? I thought they just weren't prepared for the demand and tried to sub the Nestle. Yuck.
ReplyDeleteYes, unfortunately, the 50% rule remains in effect:
The total of all double coupons cannot exceed 50% of the order after AdvantEdge discounts. Single value will be deducted there after.
Yes, I truly do ~ remember when the pc veg oil was .99? They were gone. Between my mother and i, we checked 4 dufferent price choppers by Saturday afternoon. There really aren't that many people who coupon the way we do around here. I figured it we just the demand... But the Poland springs disappeared after 2 days of being out in our small town and then magically reappeared after the double catalina promotion was over... The very next day actually. It's kind of making me wonder ... I'm a little more bitter at the fact that their regular prices are SO high and most of the population here is elderly who either take the bus to the only grocery store (PC) or walk to it because they have no choice... Our regular prices are higher than the shelf prices you report. There is a small price chopper in Saratoga that has the highest rate of food stamps redemption in the county... I'm tempted to do a walk-through just to see what their shelf prices are. It really sickens me that there are people shopping there weekly to survive as they are putting more restrictions out there.... Sorry for the rant :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, that is so sad! Our store had TONS of water all week long, BUT, a customer decided to take all of the peelies off the cases on Monday. They did get more cases in by Wed with the peelies on. Our store gets a truck every day, do all of the stores? That's not right if they weren't putting it out for the customers. We are lucky to have a pretty good stock all of the time, sorry! :(
ReplyDelete@ Anonymous, I will look into this as I know one of the PC managers quite well and see if they indeed pull stock (other than recalled items). I am sorry you missed on out on the PC oil deal...that was steal. I only bought one and I think it will last like forever!
ReplyDelete@ Erin, I would not have bought the water without the peelies either LOL. Yes, PC gets trucks in daily but according to my source, they don't always know what's going to be on it!
